Individuals and companies are welcome to replicate, host, or build on Cloudless and reuse the

cldless.com content, **provided that**:

1. **Inform and partner with cldless.com** before operating a public, Cloudless-branded service —

so efforts stay coordinated and the community is not fragmented.

2. **Uphold the base principles without compromise:**

Open-source (OSI-approved) components only — no proprietary or source-available lock-in.
Privacy-first — data stays on the participants' own hardware.
Cooperative and **master-less by design** — no privileged or central nodes.
Safe-by-default resource sharing (5% default, tunable to a 70% ceiling; never disruptive).
Honest security (defense in depth, never "foolproof").
The project's own vocabulary — no impersonation of other cloud providers.

3. **Do not misrepresent affiliation** — the "Cloudless" / "CloudLess" name and the cldless.com

identity belong to the project. Don't imply official endorsement without a partnership.

These brand and coordination terms sit **alongside** — and do not restrict — the rights the

Apache-2.0 licence grants over the code itself. All trademarks and product names referenced

belong to their respective owners.

Cloudless is currently owned and maintained by **asifontheline** — a labour of love, built in the

open. **Any help maintaining it would be greatly appreciated.**
